The Ganesha Edition
As Ganesh Chaturthi approaches, Kalakriti Art Gallery presents The Ganesha Edition, a seasonal exhibition celebrating the enduring presence of Ganesha in Indian art and cultural imagination.
Bringing together 55 artists and 55 etchings, the exhibition presents a diverse range of interpretations of Ganesha, from traditional representations to contemporary and stylised forms. Each artist approaches the familiar image through the intimate and meticulous process of etching, exploring line, texture, tone and detail to create a unique impression.
Ganesha, revered as the remover of obstacles and the symbol of auspicious beginnings, becomes both a sacred presence and a source of artistic inspiration. Through these works, The Ganesha Edition celebrates the spirit of the festival while bringing together the rich possibilities of contemporary Indian printmaking.
